Renier of St Laurent〔Reiner, Reinerus monachus S. Laurentii Leodiensis, Reinierus Leodiensis, Rainerus.〕 (died 1188) was a twelfth-century Benedictine monk of St Laurent Abbey, Liège. He known as a writer, of theological and exegetical works,〔Miri Rubin, ''Corpus Christi: The Eucharist in Late Medieval Culture'' (1991), p. 165.〕 controversial and historical works, and numerous biographical and hagiographical works.〔Leah Shopkow (translator), ''The History of the Counts of Guines and Lords of Ardres By Lambert of Ardres'' (2007), p. 206.〕 Works by him are in ''Patrologia Latina'' and ''Monumenta Germaniae Historica''. The ''Triumphale Bulonicum''〔In ''Monumenta Germaniae Historica, Scriptores'', t.
